Blizalka restaurant in the event centre offers the following menu:
- fried cheese (typical czech ‘smazak’), chips/roasted potatoes 75 CZK | - pork escalope, chips/roated potatoes 85 CZK | - pork with dumplings and sauerkraut 70 CZK | - fruit dumplings (yeast dough filled with fruit) 65 CZK | - cabbage soup | - potato soup | It is not necessary to order the food beforehand, but if you want to make sure that there will certainly be enough for you and also to make it easier for the restaurant owner, we recommend you order it via email (mcr2012@rogaining.cz). In case you order some food, we ask if you could also say whether you want the food on Friday evening or some other time. And don’t forget to leave some room for our delicious organisers’ steaks and home-made cakes and pies! :-)
|
| | | - |
we are offering a few beds in the Blizalka guest-house. We have rooms for 2-4 people, price 290 CZK/per night, available for Friday night as well as Saturday night (note: the beds are only available for competitors in 6 hours competition class). Available to order via email: mcr2012@rogaining.cz.

Buffet – we will be running a buffet throughout the whole length of the event, starting on Friday evening. Offered food will include for example home-made chicken soup, delicious pork, chicken and buffalo steaks, sausages, bread with lard and onion (czech speciality), ‘utopence’ (again a czech speciality – come to see what it is!), home-made pies and cakes, coffee, tea, beer (from Unetice as well as Buffalo ‘Zubri’ beer), kofola, juice, biscuits,... |
| | | - |
Hash house menu – Hash house will also serve quality food! This will include soup, pasta, tea, coffee, cereals, bananas, sultanas and chocolate. Could we kindly ask you to bring your own mug, bowl and spoon – there will be a shortage of cutlery, as we would like to save the environment! |
| | | - |
Those who will have time can visit ‘Lesnicky den’ (or Forestry day) in the area of Skelna hut, which is only a few kilometres from the event centre. (However, we do ask you to avoid it during the competition! It will be marked as out of bounds area.) |
| 8. | 6. | - |
at the moment, we have 100 teams entered. You can filter the teams according to competiton classes on the website and so find out easily which oponents are waiting for you!
|
| 24. | 5. | - |
by the first entry deadline, a total of 89 teams from 11 countries have entered (Australia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Republic of South Africa, Ukraine, and Great Britain). The participation of so many people from abroad is probably due to the Rogaining World Championships, which take place in the Krušné mountains at the end of August. Entries are still open (for an higher fee).
|

haven’t got anyone to run with? If this is the case, don’t worry. We are introducing a meeting service (SEEP = "Seek a partner”). All you need to do is fill in a questionaire and wait to see if somebody responds.
|
| 26. | 4. | - |
the courses have been altered and moved in an eastern and northern direction after a meeting with representatives from CHKO (nature reserves in the Czech Republic) in order to avoid the area with a birds' reserve.
|
| 23. | 4. | - |
event information and entry form are now available
|

the organisers’ weekend (photos) went very well in every way and we also found a perfect assembly area. You can look forward to a number of beautiful views, controls and unique orienteering experience in this area! The map is unpredictable; it can challenge even an experienced orienteer. Along with cute calves you can also meet aurochs (There has been a herd of aurochs let free into the wild of the former military area Ralsko. They had been living in the enclosure called Zidov in Ralsko until now. The herd is composed of 8 animals - a bull, four cows and three calves. Aurochs are the largest free living herbivores in Europe.) running around the enclosure: competition – if you see an auroch (in Czech called zubr) you will get a Zubr (a branch of Czech beer).

the event is slowly approaching and so here we have some information for you:
|
| | | - |
we are finalising the provisional details, which will be released soon
|
| | | - |
we are getting the entry forms ready
|
| | | - |
6 hour rogaining competitors can leave their children in the kinder garden - children have to be pre-entered in advance (using the event entry form) – all children have to be self-sufficient
|
| | | - |
we would like to encourage participation of less extreme competitors in the 6 hour rogaining category as well – we will therefore try and place enough controls in the area surrounding the Hash house making it suitable for a pleasant trip
|
| | | - |
we also want to encourage culturally-educative activities and so we will try and situate all controls at interesting and tourist attractive points
|

the next Czech Rogaining Championships will take place in the area around Ralsko. You can look forward to a varied, technical terrain of a former military area. Apart from the beautiful pine woods, sandstones, whinstone hillocks, lakes and moorlands, the diversity of the area is made exceptional by a bison enclosure, occasional sulphuric acid left after uranium mining and house residues or personal belongings leftover by the Soviet army. We would like to use the terrain to plan a technically interesting and challenging event. The event centre will most likely be around one of the two villages – Ploužnice or Hradčany. In the meantime, you can have a look at the photos from the event area.
